For curly hair cutting needs, call Tamara @ 604.897.HAIR. She's in Kitsilano ....see her info on this site. She really knows what she's doing.

I think this site is a great tool for clients & stylists. I wish I knew about it sooner. When I left me previous salon, they told my clients that I didn't do hair anymore & moved to Toronto from Detroit! They totally sabotaged my business. I still have clients looking for me. I hope you are getting the awareness of this site out there-so regular people (clients) know about it & look for their favorite stylists!

I also watched the Dragon's Den episode and it is obvious that none of them have ever found "The One" in a hairstylist...otherwise they would have invested in this brilliant idea! I am a hairstylist by trade and a client by necessity. I have also managed a hair salon and witnessed the lengths a client will go to find their hairstylist! It is a special kind of relationship one has with their stylist and it is not taken lightly by many. I recently relocated back to British Columbia after 3 years abroad and it took me a year and half to find "My Guy" again! So after a year and a half of searching I am finally comfortable again but imagine what my hair looked like for that year and half! If only he had been on this site!!

BELIEVE.....And you can change the world!

I am happily spreading the news of your wonderful site to my stylist friends as well as my friends that are looking!

You are a genious! Don't give up dude. I saw you on TV. Those judge people are sooo wrong. KEEP ON ROCKIN! ya

I just saw Dragon's Den, and the postings on this site are living proof that any publicity is good publicity. Those guys totally shot you down, but at the same time, you got five minutes of free advertising on prime-time tv. Talk about great exposure! As a guy with a $10 barber, I would probably never use this site, but there are probably lots of people who now will. Good luck, and good for you for not listening to the dragons.

I heard about this website on dragons den.I completely agree with their saying that this is a bad idea, if your hairstylist moves and you don't know where he/she went, get on with your life!

I just finished watching the Dragons Den. I find it a wonderful program that gives many people a chance to get their ideas out there. I was very impressed with this site and felt the Dragons just don't understand the dynamics of the hairstyling business or they would not have passed by this opportunity.
As a salon owner for many years and as an employee at times, I think this site is very much needed. Just one example for me is when we sold our salon with the verbal agreement that we would stay and work in the salon. The new owner came in with our paychecks after two weeks on payday and told my husband and myself we had 10 minutes to pick up our tools and leave. It was obvious this was her underhanded plan the whole time. We were devastated as a family because we had no income in our home, all in 10 minutes. We were in shock and had no idea of how to contact our clients. We later found out that when our clients called the salon the new owner told them we had moved out of town. Unfortunately, over the many years in hairstyling, we have found that there is not much integrity with some salon owners.
So, I think this idea for stylists and clients is wonderful.

I just got finished watching the Dragons Den and i can't believe they are so closed minded about this site. IT is wonderful, for so many people. For the stylists and the clients. I just recently had the salon i was working at close down in matter of minutes. There was no warning, just everyone put your belongings in garbage bags and leave. So to get ahold of clients is somewhat of a task! But this makes it a step easier! Thank you!

dragons den...for lack of a better word SUCKS
they dont "invest" in anything slightly different probably because its their own cash going into the
venture. when they break their own mold and actually do want to invest, they go for control of the company involved.
talk about going for the jugular.
not a good place to look for investment money.
