I just finished watching the Dragons Den. I find it a wonderful program that gives many people a chance to get their ideas out there. I was very impressed with this site and felt the Dragons just don't understand the dynamics of the hairstyling business or they would not have passed by this opportunity.
As a salon owner for many years and as an employee at times, I think this site is very much needed. Just one example for me is when we sold our salon with the verbal agreement that we would stay and work in the salon. The new owner came in with our paychecks after two weeks on payday and told my husband and myself we had 10 minutes to pick up our tools and leave. It was obvious this was her underhanded plan the whole time. We were devastated as a family because we had no income in our home, all in 10 minutes. We were in shock and had no idea of how to contact our clients. We later found out that when our clients called the salon the new owner told them we had moved out of town. Unfortunately, over the many years in hairstyling, we have found that there is not much integrity with some salon owners.
So, I think this idea for stylists and clients is wonderful. |

I just got finished watching the Dragons Den and i can't believe they are so closed minded about this site. IT is wonderful, for so many people. For the stylists and the clients. I just recently had the salon i was working at close down in matter of minutes. There was no warning, just everyone put your belongings in garbage bags and leave. So to get ahold of clients is somewhat of a task! But this makes it a step easier! Thank you!

dragons den...for lack of a better word SUCKS
they dont "invest" in anything slightly different probably because its their own cash going into the
venture. when they break their own mold and actually do want to invest, they go for control of the company involved.
talk about going for the jugular.
not a good place to look for investment money. |

I just watched Dragon's Den and I totally disagree with them....I think this site is a great idea!! My best friend, Krista is a stylist who has worked for a salon for 9 years and has now decided to move on to bigger and better things elsewhere...however, she is very concerned she will not be able to reach all of her loyal clients to let them know where she is. I'll for sure be letting her know about this site and hopefully some of her clients will check out the site and find her!! |

It would be helpful to list a search site for locating a stylist that specializes in cutting naturally curly hair. Sadly, my last stylist left her salon while I was out of the Country for six months. I've yet to be able to track her down. Even when I moved to Vancouver Island, I would still travel the distance to see her. Unfortunately, I don't recall her last name. I know her as Cynthia, a talented, Native Indian and a highly skilled stylist. I last saw her at Jardin Hair Salon in North Vancouver. I'd be grateful for any information on Cynthia's whereabouts. In the meantime, is there a stylist specializing in cutting curly hair located between Duncan and or including Nanaimo? Thanks. |

I am trying to find my hairstylist who used to work at PRatPartners in Tenleytown, DC. Her name is May Anne. She left that salon within the last 4-5 weeks. I am trying to locate her. If someone knows how to get in touch with her, please let me know.
Thank you. |

Trying to find Sara W.- a stylist who graduated from Kohler Academy in Scottsdale, AZ. She was a student there and I went in for my cuts with her. Best haircuts of my life were from Sara. She told me the school would send out postcards to her school clients after she graduated and was hired somewhere. She graduated in August and when I call the school to see if she's been hired anywhere they say they don't give out any student information. I told them Sara said the school would send out a post card and the girl replied with "no we don't." I'm frustrated because I was hoping to continue seeing Sara even after she finished school-I would have given her my phone number if I had known the school would give me a hard time. They are treating me as if I'm asking for her home address and going to stalk her or something. Its ridiculous. I just want my hair cut. They aren't contributing to their students success by eliminating the client base they built up in school. Anyways-she's not listed on this site but this is a great idea!!!! Maybe I will find her again someday... |
